We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to support the development and well-being of children and adolescents in our home and community programs. The Behaviour Support Worker will engage with youth in various activities, provide guidance, and assist with their social, and emotional needs. This role requires a nurturing attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of young individuals. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a passion for fostering positive growth and development.
Duties
- Plan and facilitate engaging activities tailored to the interests and developmental levels of youth participants
- Provide emotional support and mentorship to children and adolescents
- Assist with behavior management and conflict resolution as needed
- Support behavioural needs by implementing individualized plans under supervision
- Collect data on program participation, progress, and behavioral observations for reporting purposes
- Collaborate with families to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all participants
- Document incidents or concerns accurately in accordance with organizational policies
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or in youth services preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to collect, organize, and report data effectively
- Compassionate demeanor with patience and adaptability

Part time to Full time hours are available (25-35 hours a week)
· School Year hours Sept-June
Availability should be before school (Monday to Friday 6:30-9:00am) and after school (Monday to Thursday after 3:00pm and Fridays after 12:00pm). We also offer weekend programming so weekend availability is an asset

Pay: $15.00 per hour
