Asphalt EXPERIENCED Rakeman NEEDED!!!
Melrose Paving, located central Mississauga, is looking for:
Duties & Responsibilities
· Smooth and adjust surface irregularities, spread asphalt to proper grade and finishes before compacting
· Raking alongside the asphalt paver
· Responsible for the finished product while enforcing proper safety and traffic precautions
· Distribute and rake asphalt material used in construction, repair and resurfacing
· Finish surfaces by rough raking and finish raking hot asphalt material to the proper grade and thickness to properly adhere material to road surface
· Works with paving crew to lay asphalt, by hand, servicing manholes and catch basins
· Assist in setting up and taking down signs, pylons, caution tape etc.
· Must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
· Must demonstrate excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policy and safety standards
· Periodic evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime hours are expected
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
