Fabric Cutter (Part-Time)
Piece Fabric Co. is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Fabric Cutter to join our team. This part-time position has the opportunity to grow into full-time hours for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Cut quilting fabric accurately to customer orders
- Prepare quilt kits and fabric bundles
- Receive, organize, and maintain inventory
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and efficient
- Assist with other warehouse and order fulfillment tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is organized, methodical, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work while maintaining an efficient pace. You enjoy repetitive tasks, pay close attention to detail, and can work independently once trained.
Experience using a rotary cutter or other fabric-cutting tools is an asset but is not required—we are happy to train the right person. Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems are beneficial.
Physical Requirements
This is an active position that involves standing for most of the workday, repetitive cutting motions, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Hours & Compensation
- 20–25 hours per week to start, with the opportunity for full-time hours in the future
- Monday to Friday, generally between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
- Some scheduling flexibility is available for the right candidate
- Starting wage: $16–20/hour, based on experience
