Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring quality and durability in a fast-paced production environment. This role offers opportunities to work with a variety of tools and equipment, contributing to the overall quality of our products. Candidates with mechanical knowledge and experience in manufacturing or machining are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently during the painting process
- Assist with assembly and mechanical tasks related to painting projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by adhering to standardized work procedures
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment used in painting applications
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes and machinery
- Experience with crane or forklift operation is a plus for handling materials or equipment
- Basic math skills for measuring and mixing paints or coatings accurately
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality control in finishing work
