Reporting to the Therapy Services Manager, and in accordance with LeeCaring Communities mission, vison and values, the Occupational Therapist provides services that are dedicated to preventing deformity, retaining and/or developing skills, restoring and/or maintaining optimal functional ability, with respect to each resident’s cognitive, physical, and social capabilities.
Utilizing a resident centered approach, the Occupational Therapist performs assessment, provides treatment and initiates and develops Occupational Therapy programs. The Occupational Therapist provides resident care with a focus on customer satisfaction and continual improvement.
The Occupational Therapist is an active member of the interdisciplinary team who responds to referrals and acts as consultant to the team as required. The Occupational Therapist provides staff education and attends related workshops leading towards excellence and best practice.
This position is responsible for ensuring that residents receive safe quality service according to LeeCaring Communities policies and procedures.
LeeCaring has 2 sites, Edmonton China Town Care Centre and HolSome Place. This job will be at either site depending on the day.
