Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Clerk to join our team in. This vital role supports our mission by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our hardworking team, contributing to the smooth operation of our construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Prepare reports related to payroll activities.
- Assist with year-end payroll processing and tax filings.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee information.
- Support onboarding processes related to payroll setup.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role.
- Strong understanding of payroll procedures and relevant legislation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred.
- Experience in the construction or heavy civil industry is a plus.
