Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Veterinary Nurse to join our veterinary team. This paid internship provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting. The role involves supporting veterinary professionals with patient care, laboratory tasks, and client communication, all while developing essential skills for future veterinary practice. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinary staff with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Support the preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical supplies
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and assist with sample collection and analysis
- Monitor patient progress and record accurate medical notes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and laboratories
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions and follow-up appointments
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and animals
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a veterinary technology or related program, or pursuing relevant coursework
- Laboratory experience is highly desirable to support diagnostic procedures
- Strong interest in animal health, welfare, and veterinary medicine
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to client service
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- Reliable, responsible, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $2,800.00-$4,500.00 per month
