Job Summary:
The Finance Manager will oversee the brewery's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial planning, and strategic analysis, with an understanding of the unique financial aspects of the brewing industry. This role requires someone who can combine technical accounting knowledge with business acumen to support the brewery’s growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Develop, monitor, and manage annual budgets, ensuring alignment with the brewery’s goals and financial targets.
- Prepare and analyze financial forecasts, providing insight into revenue and expense trends.
- Work closely with department heads to ensure budget adherence and identify areas for improvement.
- Cost Control & Inventory Management:
- Oversee the management of production costs, raw materials, and finished goods inventory.
- Monitor and evaluate the cost of goods sold (COGS) to ensure margins are maintained.
- Implement efficient cost-control processes to optimize profitability without sacrificing product quality.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor daily cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and expansion.
- Manage cash projections, ensuring optimal capital allocation.
- Oversee payment processing, accounts payable, and receivable functions.
- Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and brewery-specific industry standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and tax filing requirements.
- Ensure proper internal controls are in place to prevent financial fraud and mismanagement.
- Financial Analysis & Strategy:
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management regarding strategic decisions.
- Analyze financial performance and identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Assist with long-term financial planning, including capital investments and growth strategies.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, providing support for their professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial literacy and decision-making throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, with at least 2 years in the brewing, food & beverage, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various teams.
Preferred:
- Experience in a brewery or other production environment.
- Knowledge of the beverage alcohol industry and its specific financial dynamics.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial analysis tools.

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
