Role Description / Key Responsibilities
The C&SU Control System Specialist is responsible for ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with all safety and cyber security program requirements.

Develop PLC and DCS programs based on engineering inputs such as P&IDs and control narratives

Test, modify, and update PLC and DCS programs and verify functionality against engineering documents and drawings

Configure, test, and commission industrial networking devices including switches, firewalls, and interfaces between Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Information Technology (IT) systems

Participate in verifying correct functionality of field devices with the commissioning team; identify and resolve issues related to PLC/DCS configuration and programming

Identify, document, and track deficiencies through to resolution and closure

Complete commissioning documentation including check sheets, ITPs, and test reports

Record accurate as-left conditions of PLC and DCS configurations on redlined engineering documents and project drawings

Participate in commissioning team meetings including toolbox talks, safety meetings, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) sessions

Support the development and execution of detailed work plans

Monitor schedule and productivity, collaborating with project teams to resolve issues and constraints
The position will be on-site for 2 weeks, 2 out of 11-hour days, flights and camp provided.
Requirements

Extensive PLC programming experience with Schneider PLCs and Control Expert (Unity Pro)

Extensive DCS configuration and programming experience with DeltaV systems

Experience with DCS historian integration and OSI PI connectivity via OPC-UA

Extensive DCS configuration and programming experience with EcoStruxure Foxboro DCS systems

Experience with Foxboro DCS historian and OSI PI integration via OPC drivers

Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation and data protocols, with focus on Modbus TCP/IP and HART

Extensive experience in industrial networking, including configuration of switches, firewalls, and related hardware

Strong understanding and application of industrial cybersecurity best practices

Experience with Windows Server administration, including creating and maintaining virtual machines in Hyper-V (preferred)
