Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Truck Transport Technician to join our team. This role involves the maintenance, repair, and operation of heavy-duty trucks and industrial equipment used for transportation purposes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with various tools and machinery, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on trucks and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Assist with assembly, disassembly, and installation of components on trucks and related machinery.
- Diagnose electrical systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements to maintain vehicle safety standards.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to repair or replace parts related to HVAC systems, farm machinery, or automotive components.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and operation of industrial equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of transport services while adhering to safety regulations.
Experience
- Hands-on experience with automotive repair, welding, electrical systems, or HVAC systems is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge gained through previous roles in maintenance or as a mechanic is advantageous.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical or mechanical systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills are valued for interacting with clients and team members effectively. This position requires a candidate who is mechanically inclined, capable of heavy lifting, and experienced in maintaining complex machinery while prioritizing safety standards at all times.
Pay: $18.00-$50.00 per hour
