We are seeking a veterinary assistant for our busy small animal practice in Lake Country, BC. Veterinary assistant training is preferred, but applicants with experience working with animals, and especially in a veterinary clinic, will be considered. Our privately-owned clinic offers progressive medical and surgical services and takes pride in serving our local community. We use Avimark veterinary medical software and are a paperless clinic; strong computer skills required. The successful applicant must be friendly, outgoing, have excellent communication skills and be willing to work in a fast-paced environment. The position will include a variety of tasks including answering telephones, making appointments, patient follow ups, greeting clients and checking in patients, animal restraint, assisting veterinary technicians for surgical procedures, filling medication requests, and cleaning. We offer a health/dental package, uniform allowance and competitive wages.
