Bird Control Radar Systems Technician
Acden Aves is an environmental services company providing bird and wildlife deterrent services at various oil sands mines using the latest in avian detection and deterrent technology.
We are seeking a Bird Control Radar Systems Technician to join our team.
Bird Control Radar Technicians are responsible for repairing and maintaining our radar equipment throughout the mine. Our ideal candidate will have an education or work background in information technology and experience working in a mine or a heavy industrial setting. Off-road driving is a requirement of the job.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Travel around site to stationed deterrents
· Perform break-fix activities and preventative maintenance
· Repair or replace miscellaneous parts on radar system
· Transport and commission various types of deterrents
· Maintain diligent maintenance logs and records
· Take GPS coordinates of deterrent locations
· Collect data as per OSBTT Protocols during daily activities
· Input data into data collection software
· Use tablets and GPS units
· Operate boats for the purposes of data collection and maintenance
· Have a valid Class 5 Drivers license and Abstract
· Understand that your role may take you outside of these descriptions as the work evolves and grows

Field Work vs. Office: 90%-10%
Shift: 7 days on, 7 days off
