We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, demonstrating exceptional leadership and management skills. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service, and fostering a positive environment for both staff and customers. The Food Service Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining food safety standards while delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food service operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and presentation standards.
- Manage team performance by providing training, guidance, and support to staff members.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS.
- Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety and sanitation standards.
- Foster a positive customer experience by addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with management to develop menus and improve service offerings.
- Maintain inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate supply of food products.
- Assist in scheduling staff shifts to optimize productivity during peak hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant management roles.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
- Previous supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems (Micros POS preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with staff and customers.
- Experience in hospitality or hotel settings is a plus; barista experience is also beneficial.
