Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly sanitized and ready for use. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting the hospitality and food service industry. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or kitchen settings is a plus but not required. Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and cleaning workstations
- Follow food handling and safety procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Support the kitchen staff by providing clean dishes promptly during busy service times
- Dispose of waste and recyclables according to established procedures
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment
Experience
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and kitchen safety standards is advantageous
- Experience with food handling, basic food preparation, or cooking can be beneficial but is not required
- Candidates with hotel or serving experience will find transferable skills applicable to this role
