Summary
We are seeking aspiring Registered Early Childhood Educators and Early Childhood Assistants to join our Mississauga Team. This role is ideal for an individual who is highly motivated, flexible, passionate about children and who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
o Develop and implement childcare programs that support and promote children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
o Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and providing opportunities to express creativity.
o Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
o Make daily observations and observe children for signs of potential learning.
o Knowledge of the Early Years Act
o Knowledge of Emergent Curriculum
o Knowledge of E.L.E.C.T
o Knowledge of licensing regulations
o Establish guidelines for behaviour.
o Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, safety, and well-being of children.
o Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
o Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or concerns with parents and other staff members.

Qualifications - What You Bring
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Experience working with children with support needs.
- Strong understanding of child development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of ELECT & HDLH
- Some knowledge of the CCEYA is an asset.
- Standard First Aid Level C
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Up-to-date immunizations (TB Test)

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
