Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Part-Time Red Seal Electrician to join our team with flexible hours. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical projects accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform wiring of low voltage and high voltage systems according to code standards
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Assist with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or new installations
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as needed
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure electrical safety and compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete tasks on schedule
Skills
- Proven experience as an electrician with a valid Red Seal certification
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems and low voltage wiring
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Familiarity with construction sites, renovation projects, and electrical code standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining safety protocols
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various repair tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
