Requirements
- Current Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School Diploma
As a Community Disability Support Worker you would
- Assist in identifying behaviours of concern, and follow plans that assist individuals in managing behaviours or situations of concern.
- Assist in personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist or provide full support to individuals to maintain health, i.e. attending medical appointments, medication administration, liaising with pharmacy, education around healthy eating, and emotional support.
- Supporting individuals in their daily routines such as, meal preparation, shopping, cleaning and laundry
- Assisting individuals in the development of social skills and meaningful relationships
- Providing assistance to individuals in managing their personal affairs, such as banking, budgeting, and paying bills.
- Supporting individuals to know their rights, voice their thoughts/needs, and advocate for the services they require.
