Job Overview
We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our independently-owned pharmacy, which serves a primarily Farsi-speaking community in North York. We offer a manageable daily script volume — ideal for a pharmacist who values quality patient interactions over high-pressure script counts.
This role is open to pharmacists at different stages of their career. Base compensation for the Pharmacist role is $50–54/hour. For the right candidate with strong supervisory experience and interest in taking on management responsibilities, this position can grow into a Pharmacy Manager role, with corresponding higher pay and the possibility of exploring equity/partnership arrangements for exceptional candidates.
Duties
- Manage daily pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory control, and directing pharmacy assistants' daily workflow
- Oversee the preparation and review of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations and safety standards
- Provide expert guidance on medication administration and patient care protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management
- Provide outstanding customer service
Requirements
- Valid Pharmacist license in Ontario
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a registered Pharmacist in Ontario
- Valid injection training and first aid certificate
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on safety, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Proficiency in using Kroll computer software and in insurance billing
- Experience in all expanded scope services including: injection administration, medication reviews and minor ailments prescribing
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry regulations and best practices
- Fluency in both English and Persian (Farsi)
