We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Leader to lead the end-to-end delivery of Azure cloud application and infrastructure initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, quality, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring alignment with organizational standards, security requirements, and project management methodologies. This role will lead cross-functional teams and provide governance oversight for cloud modernization initiatives, including Windows Server upgrades to 2019 and 2022 platforms.
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of Azure cloud application and infrastructure projects across multiple workstreams.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and guide cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, architects, infrastructure specialists, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work plans, milestones, and dependency tracking.
- Facilitate project governance activities, steering committee meetings, status reporting, and executive communications.
- Partner with business and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into actionable project plans.
- Oversee sprint planning, execution, and delivery activities within Agile and hybrid project environments.
- Monitor project financials, forecast costs, track expenditures, and provide regular budget reporting to stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as required.
- Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements, quality standards, and compliance obligations while remaining on schedule and within budget.
- Promote and enforce project management best practices, governance frameworks, and organizational methodologies.
- Develop and communicate project guidelines, processes, standards, and procedures to project teams and stakeholders.
- Prepare executive-level status reports, dashboards, presentations, and decision-support materials.
- Ensure adherence to cloud architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, and enterprise technology standards.
- Support and oversee Windows Server upgrade initiatives from legacy platforms to Windows Server 2019 and 2022 environments.
- Manage vendor relationships, contract deliverables, and third-party dependencies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Minimum 8 years of experience leading end-to-end Azure cloud application and infrastructure projects.
- Minimum 8 years of experience managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, quality, and stakeholder communications.
- Minimum 8 years of experience leading cross-functional technical teams including developers, business analysts, architects, infrastructure teams, and vendors.
- Experience overseeing project governance, sprint execution, issue management, and executive reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, cloud migration projects, and enterprise application delivery.
- Experience managing Windows Server upgrade and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Proven ability to develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Strong risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience delivering projects within Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and leadership skills.
- Experience working within large enterprise or public sector environments is considered an asset.
- PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
