Responsibilities
- Assist with building material sales by understanding client needs, recommending suitable products, and coordinating order details.
- Support business development efforts by maintaining relationships with existing clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, and assisting with basic quotations and follow-ups when needed.
- Help track material orders, pending quotations, and delivery status.
- Identify potential project opportunities through site visits and industry connections.
- Coordinate site-related activities, including site visits, work trials, trade coordination, and communication with foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Arrange and follow up on work trials for trades, including scheduling, site instructions, onboarding, and feedback collection.
- Communicate with vendors to confirm availability, scope of work, pricing, site access, schedule, materials, and equipment needs.
- Help resolve day-to-day site issues and communicate updates to the project team in a timely manner.
- Assist with site inspections, deficiency tracking, and follow-up with responsible parties.
- Oversee and reinforce compliance with health & safety standards on-site.
- Support site staffing by sourcing workers or subcontractors, confirming manpower needs with site supervisors, and following up on attendance and performance.
- Monitor material deliveries, vendor follow-ups, and site coordination issues to help avoid project delays.
- Maintain basic project records, including work trial notes, subcontractor information, site updates, and follow-up items.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in site coordination, site supervision, trade coordination, or construction field management.
- Previous experience in construction, building materials, subcontractor coordination, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Positive, outgoing, and comfortable communicating with different people, including clients, trades, subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff.
- Familiarity with job sites, trades, subcontractors, material deliveries, and basic construction workflow is a strong asset.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- Basic ability to keep records, update schedules, and prepare simple emails or notes.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle preferred.
- Mandarin is an asset.
Pay: $45,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
