Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS.
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards and safety guidelines.
- Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and process payments efficiently.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality service.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as required, supporting kitchen staff when necessary.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times to maintain hygiene standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions or concerns professionally and courteously.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours.
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Friendly attitude with a focus on providing a positive dining experience for all customers.
Pay: $18.50-$21.00 per hour
