THE OPPORTUNITY
BVGlazing is seeking a detail-oriented and technically driven Revit Fabrication Technician to support the connection between design, engineering, and manufacturing. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, validating, and maintaining accurate Revit and Inventor models to support fabrication, material takeoffs, and production documentation. Working closely with Drafting, Design, Engineering, and Production teams, you will ensure model information, parameters, and fabrication requirements are accurate and ready for manufacturing.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Revit Modeling & Data Management
-
Develop, update, and maintain Revit models to support fabrication and production requirements
-
Validate Revit families, parameters, metadata, and model information for accuracy and consistency
-
Ensure model data supports material takeoffs, purchasing, and manufacturing workflows
Fabrication Documentation
-
Prepare accurate production-ready documentation based on project specifications
-
Support order entry processes by extracting and validating model information
-
Ensure fabrication details, dimensions, and component information meet production requirements
Inventor Modeling Support

Develop and refine Autodesk Inventor models for window wall components including panels, backpans, corner posts, and related assemblies

Review models to confirm manufacturability and alignment with fabrication standards
Quality Assurance & Process Improvement

Perform QA/QC reviews of models and documentation before release to production

Identify discrepancies within drawings, models, or fabrication data and coordinate corrections
-
Work collaboratively with Drafting, Design, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve technical issues
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to modeling standards and fabrication workflows
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, Building Science, Drafting, or a related technical field

Experience working with Revit in a technical drafting, fabrication, BIM, or manufacturing environment

Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, including families, parameters, schedules, and model data management

Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D modeling software considered an asset

Understanding of fabrication drawings, manufacturing processes, and production documentation

Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements

Strong Excel skills for data validation, reporting, and tracking

Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality control

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
-
Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
SALARY RANGE
$55,000 - $60,000 annual salary
