Foster Parents are needed for children and youth at risk.
Strive Living Society is actively seeking individuals and families interested in fostering children and youth in Vancouver, Vernon and Kelowna, BC. We provide comprehensive training, continuous support, and monthly compensation ranging from $3,000 to $5,500. You must be a PR of BC to be considered.
As a foster parent, you'll provide a supportive and nurturing environment for children or youth in your home. This is a contracted position.
Our foster care families offer specialized care to children or youth who may have:
- Physical or developmental delays
- Medical needs
- Mental health, emotional, or behavioural needs
- Experience with drug and alcohol use or legal trouble
Requirements:
- Reside in the Vancouver, Vernon or Kelowna, BC area.
- Have a spare bedroom.
- Complete MCFD screenings
- First aid and CPR Level C certification.
- Valid BC Driver's licence and a clear driver's abstract.
- Complete a satisfactory SAFE home assessment/Interview.
- Mandatory WorkSafeBC coverage.
- Doctor's clearance and references.
- Pride Pre-service training (provided).
