Job Description
Sandborn Roofs & Seals Inc. is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating projects from award to completion, ensuring all project requirements are met in accordance with company standards, client expectations, and safety regulations.
This role plays a critical part in supporting operations and project managers, maintaining project schedules, coordinating internal departments, and ensuring successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Review client purchase orders against quotations and work order documentation to ensure accuracy of values, job descriptions, and scope of work.
- Develop and maintain project schedules from award through completion.
- Coordinate manufacturing requirements with the Manager of Manufacturing.
- Prepare detailed Project Execution Plans.
- Develop project-specific Hazard Analyses in conjunction with the Safety Coordinator.
- Coordinate material procurement through the Purchasing Department.
- Communicate with site personnel regarding scheduling, safety requirements, logistics, and project expectations.
- Attend project meetings with clients and internal management as required.
- Travel to and access project job sites as necessary.
- Prepare and submit project-related reports and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with management and personnel to support sales follow-ups and leads.
- Coordinate with scheduling to determine crew allocations.
- Arrange A&D testing in accordance with site and client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Sandborn and client Alcohol & Drug policies.
- Source temporary supplemental personnel as required and verify valid training certifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma minimum.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid passport.
- Willingness and ability to travel to job sites as required.
Training Requirements
The successful candidate must obtain and maintain the following certifications (training provided by the employer as required):
- H2S
- Confined Space
- WHMIS
- Fall Arrest
- CSTS
- Site-specific access training as required
Employment Details
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day (typically 8:00am – 4:30pm). Overtime may be required.
Location: Primarily based out of the Nisku office with travel to job sites as required.
Benefits:
100% employer-paid benefits after 3-month probationary period.
10 days of sick/personal leave annually.
Vacation:
Two (2) weeks annual vacation.
Compensation:
Annual salary to be determined, plus bonus opportunities based on company performance and individual contribution.
