Bridgeway Veterinary Specialists of Vancouver is growing and looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our specialty surgical team.

Our Veterinary Assistants play an active role in the surgical process, helping prepare patients for surgery, maintaining a sterile surgical environment, and scrubbing into procedures alongside Board-Certified Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Technologists, and fellow team members.
This is not a typical Veterinary Assistant role—our assistants are active participants in the surgical team and play an important role in every procedure.
As our hospital continues to grow, you'll have opportunities to develop new skills and gain exposure to advanced surgical and diagnostic technologies, including CT imaging.

What You'll Do
- Assist Registered Veterinary Technologists and Board-Certified Surgeons
- Prepare patients for surgery and support perioperative care
- Set up and maintain sterile surgical packs and instruments
- Scrub into surgery and assist with procedures
- Clean and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Support inventory management of medical and surgical supplies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
- Provide compassionate support to clients and their pets during the surgical process
What We're Looking For
- Previous veterinary hospital experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Organized and efficient, able to shift priorities as the day moves between surgical procedures and patient care
- Positive, can-do attitude with interest in improving patient and client experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Interest in surgery and learning advanced veterinary assistant skills
