If you are an experienced Accident Benefits law clerk/paralegal who aspires to dive deeper into settling files to grow in your career, you will be considered for this position.
If you are new the legal field in personal injury (as a paralegal), this position is perfect because the Firm will train you in all aspects.
If you are ready to take your career to next level by working on complex files, will give you full exposure.
An ideal candidate must be able to multi-task at a very busy practise. The file load can vary between 80 to 100 files.
Ability to take initiatives, troubleshooting, thinking outside the box, team play, staying organized and prioritizing is top most requirement for all these positions.
Main Duties:
- Client Intakes
- Communication with the clients, non-parties, insurer, etc.
- Prepare all AB forms, pleadings and LAT forms
- LAT caseconference attendance
- Review files, obtain all documents in time including productions
- Preparing accounts
- Ensuring mail is reviewed, all interlocutory steps are taken and filed appropriately
- Ensuring calendars are up to date along with taking all steps for the events
Required Qualifications:
- Have an understanding of Accident Benefits (including SABs, LAT forms and procedure)
- Must know how to work with Primafact
- Have minimum 1+ years of experience in plaintiff personal injury practise as an assistant or clerk
- Alternatively, have minimum 2+ years of experience in defence personal injury practise as an assistant or clerk
- Ability to speak/understand Hindi and Punjabi is an asset
This role has perk of working from home (up to 4 days from home after probation*).
