WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Individuals who are dependable, responsible, and willing to learn, with a pleasant, outgoing personality. As a member of our team, you must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Retirement Home or Hotel experience would be an asset.
YOUR ROLE:
● Engages the culinary team promoting a positive team spirit.
● Demonstrates a creative flair for food presentation which will please our Residents
● Participates with the Manager in menu planning
● Contributes in planning/preparing special occasions and theme meals.
● As a valued team member engages in meetings, educational in-services
● Assists in the orientation and training of new Dining Services employees as directed.
● Knowledge of the Ontario Food Premises Regulation and Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating as well as all current Ontario Retirement Home legislation an asset.
● Must be knowledgeable of therapeutic diets.
● Complies with infection control protocols as directed.
● Complies with Occupational Health & Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System including recognizing health & safety hazards, reporting incidents, fulfilling responsibilities under the applicable legislation as well as participating in fire drills and other emergency procedure training.
