Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Psychotherapist to join our growing practice, Rooted Wellness Psychotherapy & Counselling as an Independent Contractor. The ideal candidate will provide mental health support and therapy services to diverse populations with diverse presenting concerns. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives through evidence-based practices and collaborative care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual, family, and/or couples psychotherapy sessions tailored to patients’ needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Utilize clinical assessment tools to evaluate patient progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with CRPO standards.
- Engage in case management activities, including coordinating care with other providers and community resources.
- Provide education and support to patients’ families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
Qualifications & Expectations
- Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field
- 2+ years psychotherapy experience in a clinical setting
- Post-graduate training in additional, trauma-oriented modalities is strongly preferred.
- Proof of professional liability insurance
- Access to a private, confidential workspace with reliable internet for remote work
- Evening and/or weekend availability for a minimum of 5 sessions/week
- Experience with both in person and remote therapy and understanding of the ethical considerations of both
