Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable, deadline-driven Site Supervisor to manage and oversee Multifamily Residential and Commercial Construction Projects for GS Homes. The Site Supervisor will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and building regulations. This role demands strong leadership, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for managing crews, liaising with subcontractors and trades, and ensuring seamless project execution from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily operations on-site, ensuring all aspects of the project run smoothly and according to schedule.
- Maintain and enforce high safety standards in compliance with relevant regulations. Ensure all staff, subcontractors, and trades are trained on safety protocols.
- Create and implement daily/weekly project checklists and schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
- Act as the primary point of contact between all parties involved in the project, including clients, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members.
- Monitor the progress of work, ensuring it meets quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Inspect all work completed by trades and subcontractors to ensure it meets GS Homes' high-quality standards and complies with local building codes and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise on-site, ensuring minimal disruptions to project progress.
- Supervise the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of site staff, ensuring that the crew is effective and efficient.
- Ensure project documentation is up to date, including daily reports, safety logs, and progress reports.
- Manage site logistics, including material deliveries, tool and equipment management, and coordination of trades.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and construction best practices and apply them to optimize work efficiency and quality.
- Conduct regular site meetings to update stakeholders on project status, discuss challenges, and review upcoming milestones.
- Resolve conflicts or issues between trades, ensuring that all parties work cooperatively to meet project goals.
- Maintain an organized and clean worksite to ensure safety and efficiency at all times.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5 years of construction supervision or management experience, specifically in Multifamily Residential and Commercial Projects.
- Education: A background in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations. Knowledge of both residential and commercial project requirements is essential.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and coordinate between multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues on-site.
- Proficient in using construction management software and project tracking tools.
