Seasonal Security & Venue Compliance Supervisor
Location: The Hummingbird Barn, Erin, ON
Position Type: Seasonal (June – October)
We are a growing wedding venue with a capacity of 150 guests, and we're looking for a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Security & Venue Compliance Supervisor to join our team for the wedding season.
This is more than a traditional security position. In addition to ensuring the safety and security of our guests and property, you'll play an important role in enforcing the compliance of wedding events and venue activities throughout the day.
Schedule
- Seasonal position: June through October
- Weekend availability is required
- Schedule varies based on event bookings:
- Some weekends: 2 event days
- Some weekends: 1 event day
- Some weekends: No shifts
- 13-hour shifts on event days
Responsibilities
- Provide a discreet and professional security presence during events.
- Monitor guest arrivals and departures and ensure a safe environment throughout the venue.
- Respond calmly and professionally to any incidents or emergencies.
- Assist with parking coordination and traffic flow as needed.
- Enforce venue compliance during weddings and events.
- Perform venue opening and closing procedures.
- Support vendors, staff, and event coordinators to ensure events run smoothly.
- Monitor venue policies and assist in maintaining a respectful, enjoyable atmosphere for guests.
- Complete incident reports if required.
Qualifications
- Valid Security Guard License (required).
- Previous experience working security at weddings, event venues, hotels, or hospitality settings is preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle situations with sound judgment.
- Reliable transportation to and from the venue.
