Atria Development Corp. is looking to hire an in-house lawyer to join our team in Toronto.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented lawyer with a background in commerical litigation to join our legal team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your legal skills within a dynamic and supportive environment. The successful candidate will handle small files in-house and liaison with external counsel on larger matters to aid with case preparation, research, and legal drafting, contributing to the effective management of litigation matters. This position is ideal for lawyers with a few years of litigation experience in private practice looking to move into an in-house setting.
Qualifications:
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
- Integrity and professionalism
- 5+ years of experience in private practice focused on commercial litigation
- Knowledge of and experience in the commercial real estate sector (lending, commercial contracts, labour)
- Draft / review documents, including correspondence, pleadings, briefs, and hearing documents
- Handling work proactively on file from intake to resolution
- Communicate with client and outside counsel
- Experienced in settling claims
- Other duties as assigned
Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
