Birchwood Circle of Care is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Pediatric
Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team beginning in September 2026. This

Job Overview
The Pediatric Physiotherapist will provide assessment, treatment, and consultation
services to children and youth with a variety of developmental, neurological, orthopedic,
and physical challenges. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with
families, caregivers, schools, community partners, and other healthcare professionals to
support each child’s development and participation in daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for children and youth.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client goals and
- needs.
- Provide evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to support motor
- development, mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional
- independence.
- Educate and support families and caregivers through coaching and home
- programming.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists,
- speech-language pathologists, psychologists, counsellors, and behavioural
- consultants.
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions as appropriate.
- Adhere to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and regulatory
- requirements.
- Applicant must have a drivers license and access to a vehicle.
- Availability: Candidates must be available to provide services during weekdays.
- Preference will be given to individuals who can offer daytime and/or after-school
- appointments.
- Hours: Based on client demand and therapist availability – expected to be one
- or two days a month. This is a Casual Position.
Experience
- Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent).
- Current registration and good standing with the applicable Alberta regulatory body.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Experience working with children and youth is preferred.
- Experience with neurodevelopmental disorders, developmental delays, orthopedic conditions, and complex pediatric presentations is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Pay: $450.00-$900.00 per month
