We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Operations Supervisor to oversee daily cafe and hospitality operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff, assisting the chef with managing food preparation and service, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant management, kitchen experience, and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are highly desirable. The supervisor will play a key role in fostering a positive team atmosphere while ensuring high-quality food and beverage service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food and beverage operations, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to quality standards
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling procedures to maintain safety and compliance with health regulations
- Manage team members through interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and efficient staff
- Monitor cash handling processes including POS transactions using Micros POS or similar systems
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols across all areas of operation
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on menu execution, food presentation, and inventory management
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to resolve issues promptly
- Assist in restaurant management tasks such as inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Support hospitality initiatives including barista services or hotel-related food & beverage functions as needed
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills required
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Background in restaurant management or hospitality preferred; hotel or barista experience is a plus
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for team coordination and customer interactions
- Food industry knowledge including food handling procedures and kitchen operations
- Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is advantageous
