Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. This role requires proficiency in various payroll and accounting software, along with strong data entry and analysis skills. The Payroll Clerk will play a vital role in supporting human resources functions related to employee compensation.
Duties
This role is ideal for someone with strong payroll experience who will process weekly payroll across multiple divisions, ensuring accuracy of hours, miles, deductions, and adjustments
Required Competencies and Experience
· Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role in the trucking and logistics sector.
· Strong experience with Truckmate (or similar) TMS payroll software.
· Familiarity with trucking-specific payroll complexities (mileage, accessorial pay, incentives, deductions)
· Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
· Assertive, accountable, and comfortable taking full ownership of driver payroll processes
· Proficient time-management ability to prioritize regular and irregular tasks using exemplary problem-solving and analytical skills to ensure timely completion or resolution.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work effectively, politely and respectably with diverse teams and stakeholders using excellent verbal and written communication skills.
