Summary
As a Casual Substitute Childcare Provider at the Liverpool YMCA, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and engaging environment for children. This position supports our mission of helping families and ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop meaningful relationships.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and educational activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a caregiving or educational setting is essential.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when interacting with children.
Additional Information
- This is a casual substitute position.
- Applicants with an NS Early Childhood Education (ECE) Classification will be paid according to the YMCA wage scale.
