Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ECE (Early Childhood Education) Assistant to support classroom activities and foster a positive learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will assist lead teachers in implementing educational programs, engaging children in developmental activities, and ensuring a safe and nurturing space for early learners. Duties
- Support lead teachers in planning and executing daily classroom activities aligned with curriculum standards.
- Assist children with their daily routines, including mealtime, nap time, and transitions between activities.
- Engage children in educational play, social interactions, and developmental exercises to promote learning and social skills.
- Monitor children's behavior and provide positive guidance to foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom setting by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to support children's individual needs and progress.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized plans under supervision.
- Assist with record-keeping related to children's development, attendance, and activities as needed.
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience or experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmental milestones.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic classroom environment.
- Patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for supporting young children's growth and learning.
- Basic math skills for assisting with age-appropriate activities involving numbers or measurements.
- ECE Assistant certificate is mandatory
- First Aid & CPR Certification (required)
