Construction Site Foreman/Forewoman

Position Summary
The Construction Site Foreman is responsible for supervising daily construction activities on-site, coordinating labor crews, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of construction leadership experience and strong knowledge of construction methods, safety procedures, and team coordination. Candidate preferred live within the Banff/Canmore region.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of site labourers.
- Ability to stay and lock up the site after daily construction activities.
- Ensure all work is completed according to drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily site inspections and toolbox meetings.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment usage, and manpower requirements with the site superintendent.
- Monitor project progress and report updates to the Superintendent or Project Manager.
- Identify and resolve on-site issues and conflicts efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and company standards.
- Assist with scheduling and sequencing of work activities.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, safety documentation, and manpower logs.
- Train and mentor laborers and junior crew members.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of multi-family commercial construction experience, including supervisory or foreman/forewoman experience.
- Carpentry Apprenticeship 2nd,3rd,4th Year welcome
- Strong understanding of construction practices, tools, materials, and safety requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of scheduling and coordination of multiple trades.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Proficiency with basic construction software and mobile reporting tools is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
Preferred Certifications
- Standard or Emergency First Aid
- Fall Protection Certification
- WHMIS Certification
- CSTS Certification
- Equipment operation certifications considered an asset
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift materials as required on active construction sites.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Carpentry Skills with standard hand tools

Work Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required depending on project schedules
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 45.0 per week
