The Field Technician is responsible for the safe transportation, installation, operation, maintenance, and removal of AMGAS emission control equipment at customer field locations. This role supports daily field operations while ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport, install, monitor, troubleshoot, and remove emission control equipment at client field locations.
- Clean, refill, inspect, and maintain scrubbers, totes, and related equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on field and shop equipment.
- Complete service tickets, logbooks, inspection reports, and operational documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, safety checks, and regular maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
- Support shop operations and general yard duties as required.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a favorable personal Driver's Abstract dated within the las 30 days.
- Current Certifications: H2S Alive, Standard First Aid & CPR, and Common Safety Orientation (CSO).
- Previous oilfield, industrial, mechanical, or field service experience is considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform basic maintenance.
- Ability to work independently in remote, fast-paced, and changing work environments.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to safely work around oilfield equipment, chemicals, and industrial operations while following company safety procedures.
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environmental conditions and adapt to changing weather and site conditions.
Working Conditions & Schedule
- This position is safety sensitive.
- Weekly schedules vary based on operational requirements and business demands.
- Evening, weekend, after-hours, and rotational on-call work is required.
- Travel and extended out-of-town assignments are required, including working away from home for extended periods of time.
- Work is performed in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments and may include exposure to varying weather conditions, industrial settings, and confined spaces.
