Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments of fruits and vegetables to assess quality and freshness.
- Check for accurate product quantity and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Arrange and display produce in an organized and visually appealing manner, following merchandising guidelines.
- Rotate products regularly to ensure freshness and remove any damaged or expired items promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the team to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Participate in periodic inventory counts and contribute to minimizing product shrink.
- Identify and remove any substandard or damaged products from the shelves.
- Work closely with the team to adhere to quality standards and minimize waste.
- Travel to different locations to replenish stocks/produce.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a grocery or retail environment is an asset.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a vehicle.
- Knowledge of fruits and vegetables, including seasonal variations and ripeness indicators.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy loads.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
