Your Role
As a HVAC Site Superintendent, you will serve as a key leader on the construction site, responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring the successful execution of projects from start to finish. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating field activities, supervising teams, and driving productivity while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and timelines. Your expertise in managing subcontractors, resources, and schedules will be instrumental in delivering exceptional results that align with project goals and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Supervise: Direct all on-site construction activities, ensuring teams work collaboratively to meet project milestones.
- Plan and Execute: Develop and implement detailed schedules and work plans that align with project goals.
- Ensure Safety and Compliance: Uphold the highest safety standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations and protocols.
- Foster Communication: Act as the main point of contact between field staff, project management, clients, and subcontractors.
- Problem Solve: Quickly identify challenges and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Track Progress: Maintain accurate records of site activities, resource allocation, and daily reports to inform stakeholders.
- Drive Results: Take ownership of the site’s success, delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
What You Bring to the Team
Education:
- Journeyperson certificate in Sheet Metal.
Experience:
- 5+ years in a HVAC superintendent role.
- 10+ years in mechanical industrial or commercial settings.
Skills:
- HVAC Systems Installation – In-depth knowledge of installing and maintaining HVAC systems.
- Code Compliance – Familiarity with local, provincal, and national plumbing codes (e.g., NBC, SMACNA, OSHA regulations).
- Team Supervision – Experience in leading and managing sheet metal crews and subcontractors.
- Training and Development – Ability to train and mentor junior sheetmetqal and apprentices.
- Problem Solving – Strong skills in troubleshooting and resolving on-site issues.
- Scheduling and Coordination – Expertise in organizing labour, materials, and timelines for efficiency.
- Safety Compliance – Commitment to enforcing workplace safety standards and conducting safety training and leading by example.
- Documentation – Ability to prepare reports, change orders, and project updates and tracking accurately. Provide input into final turnover package.
- Conflict Resolution – Competence in handling disputes and ensuring collaborative teamwork.
Salary & Benefits Package
Salary:
- $47.00/Hr with time and half (1.5x) after 40 hours.
