The Opportunity
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Sanitation Worker is responsible for the garbage and sanitation of two luxury residential buildings in Waterloo, ON. The ideal candidate is part of a team that collectively maintains the internal and external premises of two buildings, with a focus on the garbage chutes and garbage room. Successful candidates will be able to work independently and stay professional.

Essential Functions
Sanitation & Maintenance
- Ensure the proper care, maintenance and cleaning of garbage chutes and garbage room
- Prepare and organize waste and recycling bins to maintain order and cleanliness in the garbage room
- Daily inspections and ensuring mechanical rooms, boiler rooms, garbage rooms, elevators and ventilation systems are functioning properly
- Pick up garbage from the interior and exterior floor
- General maintenance as assigned
Position Details
- Work from 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, with consistent working schedules
- Ability to safely lift up to 25 lbs. is required
- Push & pull large garbage bins
Who You Are
Experience - 2+ years of related sanitation experience
Professionalism– Maintain a presentable appearance at all times and have a positive attitude
Organizational – Ability to work independently and with little supervision
License - Must have a valid Ontario driver’s license; own vehicle is an asset
