ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Inside Sales Associate will work co-operatively with the Project & Account Managers, Outside Sales, and Estimation teams to grow existing customers, generate new customers, and meet or exceed sales targets while increasing customer satisfaction. The Inside Sales Associate will perform all duties in a timely and orderly fashion to the best of their abilities and with the utmost due care, integrity and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle follow up telephone sales calls professionally, courteously, and as efficiently as possible
- Secure written purchase orders from customers to be processed by the Project & Admin teams
- Record all findings in the CRM and supporting tools to properly track and report sales activity
- Educate customers on features and benefits of products in order to improve related sales and customer satisfaction; as well as assist with quotes and pricing of jobs when needed
- Increase sales, margin and average order size by means of cross-selling, upselling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items, and providing high value interactions with customers
- Assist in trade shows offered by ECCO Supply or suppliers from time to time
- Coordinate follow-up and sales activities with Outside Sales & Account Manager Representatives
- Maintain an up-to-date sales data base with pricing and specifications
ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- 2+ years in the HVAC industry, demonstrating sales acumen with sales experience
- Excellent communication skills; high energy, enthusiastic with proven people skills and ability to work as part of a team and independently with a solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize is critical to customer success and personal growth
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Technology, Construction Project Management, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is an asset.
- Work with a high degree of emotional intelligence and business integrity internally & externally
- Proficient in MS Office and skilled in using task tracking software to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to attend educational seminars and courses to supplement existing knowledge and stay up-to-date with evolving technology and business practices
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new software packages / tools as required by the role
