We are seeking an enthusiastic Entry-level Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills in heavy machinery operation and construction. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, safety-conscious, and ready to contribute to various construction projects utilizing a range of heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, loaders, and graders.
Duties
- Operate various types of heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, graders and backhoes with supervision and guidance.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, and excavation tasks to ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Support the team in moving materials and clearing sites efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope.
- Learn and adhere to company standards for equipment operation.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience working as a heavy equipment operator.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, graders and backhoes.
- Successful completion of a Heavy Equipment Trade School is a plus.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to specialized construction techniques.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and teamwork.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Pay: $30.00-$34.00 per hour
