OSI Group | Field-Based (Work from Home + Regional Travel)
OSI Group is growing, and we’re looking for a Practice Advisor to support and coach independent optometry clinics across British Columbia. This is a relationship-driven, field-based role for someone who understands the realities of running a clinic and enjoys helping owners and teams operate better, lead better, and grow sustainably. If you’ve ever thought about using your clinic leadership experience to make a broader impact beyond a single location, this role might be your next step. This position involves regular regional travel to visit clinics in your assigned territory, balanced with work-from-home time for planning, follow-ups, and virtual coaching.
Who is OSI Group?
With a national network of 900+ optometry member clinics, OSI Group has been championing independent optometry for more than 40 years. Passionate, loyal, and constantly innovating, we’re the largest and most diversified buying group of its kind in Canada. We provide various services to optometry clinics such as group discounts, centralized billing, clinic management software, web & digital marketing services, business coaching, continuing education and peer-to-peer events.
What You’ll Do
As a Practice Advisor, you’ll act as a trusted business partner to clinic owners and leadership teams. Your role is to help them think differently about their business, develop stronger management practices, and help translate strategic goals into practical, sustainable actions.
You will:
- Build long-term relationships with clinic owners and managers
- Coach leaders on team performance, operations, and business fundamentals
- Support clinics in setting priorities and implementing practical improvement plans
- Deliver in-clinic and virtual training using OSI tools and resources
- Identify opportunities where OSI programs can meaningfully support clinic goals
- Represent OSI at member events and peer forums
- Recruit new members and promote OSI services to existing members
- Travel regularly within your territory to visit member clinics
Who Thrives in This Role
You’ll likely be a great fit if you:
- Have led teams within an optometry or optical clinic environment (e.g., clinic manager, operations lead, senior optical leadership)
- Are comfortable coaching adults and having thoughtful, professional conversations about performance and leadership
- Build credibility quickly and communicate with empathy and clarity
- Can balance relationship-building with accountability
- Are self-directed, organized, and comfortable working independently in the field
Experience & Background

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfort using tools like Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems
- A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Knowledge of optometry or eye care
