Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor apprentices
- Site Housekeeping
- Work reports and associated paperwork
- Work safely and in accordance with the Montgomery Power Management Inc. Health and Safety Manual
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine layout of electrical installation
- Test and troubleshoot electrical equipment
- Install, test, and troubleshoot motors, drives, PLCs and electrical controls
- Determines layout and installs appropriate cable tray and conduit
- Size electrical circuits according to the CEC and client's requirements
- Install appropriate grounding systems as required
Requirements:
- Valid Alberta or Red Seal Journeyman Electrical ticket
- Industrial or heavy commercial electrical experience
- Able to read and interpret drawings and P&ID's
- Must be able to work safely in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Must be capable of taking direction and working unsupervised
- Experience with high and medium voltage installation an asset
- Training and experience in fiber termination an asset
- Physically fit--capable of lifting up to 50lbs
- Valid First Aid, AWP, WHMIS, CSTS and Working at Heights preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license
We are looking for a Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical issues. Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and technical documents.
- Follow local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Test electrical systems and components using testing devices.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and components to identify issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components.
