Chinova Bioworks is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a Research Technician - Product Development & Innovation. This position reports to the VP of R&D.

Position Summary:
- Prepare chemical solutions, biological media, food and beverage prototypes, and experimental formulations in support of research and development activities.
- Conduct microbiological research involving the cultivation, handling, and analysis of bacterial, yeast, and mold species.
- Perform laboratory testing and analytical procedures, collect and analyze experimental data, and prepare technical reports and summaries.
- Independently manage assigned research projects, including planning, execution, documentation, and reporting of results.
- Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation to ensure reliable performance and accurate results.
- Prepare, package, document, and coordinate the shipment of client and research samples while maintaining accurate tracking and inventory records.
- Maintain laboratory operations through equipment maintenance, sterilization, inventory management, workspace organization, and compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to support research initiatives, solve technical challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- Accurate pipetting, measuring, and weighing techniques
- Basic laboratory techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of chemistry, microbiology, and food science principles
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and contamination control
- Ability to interpret and follow technical protocols and SOPs
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills for laboratory testing
- Ability to accurately record, organize, and interpret data
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and quality standards
- Understanding of sample handling, labeling, and shipping requirements
- Basic computer skills for data entry, documentation, and reporting

- Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Biology or a related field
- Experience in a lab environment
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00-$43,000.00 per year
