We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Support and Equipment Operator at Vienna Farms Ltd. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position will be a key support for farm maintenance as well as a farm equipment operator. Vienna Farms has 750 acres of apple orchard and storage facility. This is a replacement position.
Responsibilities:
· Operate farm equipment including forklift, tractor, and payloader
· Troubleshoot equipment – mechanical
· Perform routine maintenance or make minor repairs to equipment
· Follow Health and Safety requirements in all regards ensuring prevention of illness/injury
Skills & Qualifications:
· Experience operating farm equipment and forklift
· Farm work experience an asset
· Mechanical aptitude
· Team player and willingness to help others
· Ability to perform physical tasks that may require climbing, lifting, pushing, bending
· Strong work ethic/highly motivated
- Valid driver's license
