MHE (Material Handling Equipment) Sales Manager/Associate
Job Overview
Reporting to the senior management team, you will be the key support for the Company’s start-up business of material handling equipment sales and distribution. You will be responsible for driving and growing the sales of the material handling equipment in the GTA and Canadian national market. You will work with the customers, distributors, and service technicians providing support in sales, marketing, after market service in the province of Ontario and Canada nationally. You will be the key liaison between the Company and its suppliers and equipment manufacturers providing support for procurement, logistics, warehousing of the equipment and parts.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Manage the sales, marketing and after sales services of the SANY and/or other brand material handling equipment.
· Generate new accounts and sales to start up and grow the Company’s equipment sales business and achieve annual sales target.
· Maintain new and existing accounts and customers, including but not limited to regular and frequent calls, meetings and visits of new and existing customers.
· Gather and maintain a database of customers’ information including contact information, product specs and preferences, price lists and quotations, etc.
· Identify and develop relations with MHE service providers in Greater Toronto Areas and nationally to establish an equipment service network and coordinate the training of the service technicians.
· Plan, organize and participate in marketing events and trade shows to promote the company’s material handling equipment.
· While achieving direct sales, explore and prepare for the development of a network of distributors and dealers, offline and/or online, serving the Canadian national market.
· Assisting in recruiting and leading a team of sales and service professionals as the business grows.
· Manage the procurement and import of the equipment to maintain the Company’s equipment and parts stock at an optimal level.
· Liaison with suppliers and equipment manufacturers regarding the procurement of equipment and parts and develop a database of product knowledge, marketing brochures and training materials, etc.
· Comfortable with travels to train and visit distributors, dealers, attend trade shows and marketing events, etc.

- Ability to reach out to potential customers and generate new accounts and sales.
- In-depth knowledge of the material handling equipment and industry
- Quick grasp of technical knowledge and features of the material handling equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers and suppliers and interact with other functions of the operations
- Detail oriented – ability to identify irregularities or inconsistencies
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Ability to identify and solve problems and deal with change in plans and unexpected situations
- Self starter and team player
- Comfortable working in a growth-oriented environment with the ability to follow and improve underlying operational processes
Technical Skills / Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- 5+ years of experience in working in the material handling equipment industries
- Knowledge of Excel and Word and Internet researching
- College diploma is an asset
- Bilingual in French is an asset
- Chinese language skill a definite asset, but not required
