ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a personable and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our showroom team. This role is responsible for creating a positive shopping experience, helping customers find the right pieces for their homes, and providing knowledgeable and personalized service.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, building customer relationships, and contributing to a collaborative sales environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet customers in person and over the phone and assist with product selection
- Learn Reside’s furniture collections, materials, features, and available options
- Understand customer needs and provide thoughtful product recommendations
- Process purchases, returns, exchanges, deposits, and payments
- Follow up with customers regarding product availability, orders, and delivery timelines
- Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom displays
- Support inventory, pricing, accounts receivable, and general showroom operations as required
- Work closely with the sales, warehouse, delivery, and management teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Friendly, approachable, and comfortable building customer relationships
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities and customer follow-ups
- Reliable, motivated, and team-oriented
- Intermediate computer skills
- Previous retail, furniture, or sales experience is considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence is considered an asset
- Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays is required
COMPENSATION
During the first three months, compensation is guaranteed at $25.00 per hour for approximately 35 hours per week. During each pay period, the employee will receive the greater of their hourly training compensation or the commissions earned.
Following the first three months, compensation will transition to Reside Furnishings’ regular commission plan.
