Job Overview
Vickers Manor Seniors Residence is seeking a creative, energetic, and results-driven Marketing Coordinator to increase occupancy, promote our residence within the community, and create meaningful connections with seniors, families, healthcare professionals, and community organizations.
This position combines digital marketing, community engagement, event planning, and sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating qualified leads, setting up tours, following up with prospective residents and families, managing social media and advertising campaigns, and helping ensure available suites are leased.

Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Digital Media
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to increase awareness and occupancy at Vickers Manor.
- Manage social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile.
- Create engaging content including photos, videos, resident stories, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Maintain and update the Vickers Manor website with current suite availability, events, and community news.
- Improve online visibility through SEO and Google Business optimization.
- Coordinate digital advertising campaigns through Meta (Facebook & Instagram) and Google Ads.
- Monitor campaign performance using Google Analytics and other reporting tools.
Leasing & Sales
- Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective residents and families.
- Schedule and conduct professional tours of the residence.
- Explain accommodation options, services, meal plans, amenities, and pricing.
- Maintain accurate records of leads and follow-up activities.
- Develop strategies to convert inquiries into move-ins.
- Prepare leasing documentation and assist throughout the move-in process.
- Track occupancy rates and provide regular reports to management.
Community Outreach
- Build relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, physicians, retirement planners, senior centres, home care providers, and community organizations.
- Attend health fairs, community events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Organize open houses, information sessions, and resident appreciation events.
- Develop partnerships that generate referrals to Vickers Manor.
Brand Development
- Ensure consistent branding across all marketing materials.
- Design brochures, signage, advertisements, newsletters, and promotional items.
- Capture professional photography and video content highlighting resident life and amenities.
- Identify new marketing opportunities to strengthen Vickers Manor's presence in Thunder Bay.
Reporting & Analytics
- Track marketing KPIs including:
- Occupancy rates
- Lead generation
- Tour conversions
- Move-ins
- Website traffic
- Social media engagement
- Advertising ROI
- Provide monthly marketing and leasing reports with recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field (Preferred)
- Experience in marketing, sales, leasing, hospitality, retirement living, healthcare, or real estate is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of social media marketing and digital advertising.
- Experience with:
- Google Ads
- Google Analytics
- Meta Business Suite
- Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- WordPress
- Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Professional, compassionate, and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with management and staff.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle is considered an asset for community outreach.
